		<description>This is a good article.  Something that can be overlooked is your point that the signature on the cancellation letter must be handwritten.  All too often there is a delay in the process because the client used a computer generated signature or just typed the name. 

I might suggest that if you are canceling an insurance product purchased from an agent or a broker to send them the request. This provides documentation. The agent or broker should follow-up to be sure that the action has been completed in the usual amount of time.
